The Rohingya Crisis in Photos

Saiful Huq Omi, a telecom engineer found a bigger meaning to life when he started his career as a documentary photographer in 2005. From the New York Times and Channel 4 to the National Geographic, this award-wining photographer has documented the Rohingya people for the past twelve years. At one point, when the persecution in Rakhine state took place in 2012, he was the only photographer allowed to report on their plight from Bangladesh. Saiful shares the stories behind his photographs and the next phase of his work and how he hopes these pictures can make a difference.
