Counter-terrorism experts, academics and reformed extremists spoke at a conference organized by IOHR at the University of Rostock in Germany–a nation that allocated 100 million euros in 2018 to fight extremism. The focus was on the roles that women play in extremist groups such as ISIS and their reasons for joining. The right wing violent extremism was also discussed among the panelists. One asked: ” Is the rise of right wing violent extremism due to politics, or in response to the opposite jihadist activities?”
