Tackling Homelessness in the UK

Carla Ecola (The Outside Project)

Government figures indicate there are close to 310,000 people that are homeless in the UK. The Outside Project is a homeless shelter and community centre for those in the LGBTIQ+ community who feel endangered or are homeless.

The director, Carla Ecola, talked about the inspiration for addressing the growing problem of homelessness as well as the absence of adequate programmes in place to effectively combat homelessness in the UK.
